Safety Supervisor
The Safety Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Safety Director by implementing best practices and policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for Holt Homes employees and subcontractors. This person will be managing safety responsibilities across multiple residential construction sites in Oregon and Washington.

Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a safety role, preferably in residential construction
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations required, familiarity with Washington L&I standards and OSHA 30-hour certification preferred
- Experience interacting with regulatory agencies
- Knowledge of technology and equipment used in safety compliance inspections
- Ability to perform physical requirements of job, including but not limited to stooping, use of ladders, lifting 25 pounds on a regular basis, traversing rough terrain and jobsite obstacles, etc.
- Must be able to work in adverse weather, jobsite trailer, and truck
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to navigate communities
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred
Skills:
- Proficient knowledge of Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, in the English language
- Flexible and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits of jobs sites to identify and mitigate any safety, health, and environmental risks
- Assist in the implementation of inspection schedules, policies, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory agency policies and procedures
- Lead and deliver on-site safety meetings and training for employees and subcontractors
- Promote and monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Respond to and investigate unsafe practices, including near misses with detailed reporting and suggested corrective actions
- Maintain current safety documentation including but not limited to training records, incident reports and inspection logs
- Provide support during agency inspections and resolutions to any noted citations or corrective actions
- Monitor OSHA / L&I regulation updates and how they impact current workplace safety policies, proposing changes as needed
Work Environment:
- Regularly uses a computer with repeated movements to enter data, differentiate between colors, shades, and brightness, and read from a screen for extended periods of time
- Heavy physical activity involving the handling of average and heavy objects, regularly standing, crawling, bending or stooping.
- Frequent travel between Portland Metro area worksites, including periodic trips to Euguene (weekly) and Medford (monthly)
