The Land Acquisition Analyst helps the Acquisition Department track prospective properties and prepare optimal land deals within the company’s investment parameters. This position functions with integrity, courtesy, and character.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or a similar field of study preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of Real Estate experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of Administrative Assistance experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of Acquisitions experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Experience with CRM database
  • Passion for Real Estate
  • Potential remote work after mandatory in-office training, decided by manager

Skills

  • Ability to learn new software and programs quickly
  • Experience with CRM database
  • Experience with GIS systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Find, gather, and help quantify comparable home and lot sale data in different market areas
  • Research different jurisdictions for property purchasing opportunities
  • Facilitate UGB expansion planning
  • Lead the outreach for potential land leads, i.e. cold call, knock on doors, and send mailers
  • Search for entitled projects through Title companies
  • Maintain CRM database
  • Create, organize, and manage multiple feasibility packets simultaneously
  • Draft and compile LAP packets
  • Coordinate AC tours and AC presentations
  • Write closing memos
  • Underwriting experience preferred
  • Ability to create feasibility packets preferred
  • Other duties as assigned or needed

Work Environment

  • Regularly uses a computer with repeated movements to enter data, differentiate between colors, shades, and brightness, and read from a screen for extended periods of time
  • Periodically will travel to a potential purchase to survey the area

  1. In your first year, you are frontloaded 40 hours. You then accrue 1.53 hours for the remainder of the year, which accumulates to a total of 10 days.
  2. On your first year anniversary, you start accruing 3.07 hours, which accumulates to 10 days.
  3. On your 3rd anniversary, you start accruing 4.61 hours, which accumulates to 15 days.
  4. On your 10nth anniversary, you start accruing 6.15 hours, which accumulates to 20 days.
