Rate of Pay: $21.50 – $29.00 /h ($44,720 – $60,320 annually)
Location: Vancouver, WA main office
FT or PT: 40 hours/week; Mon – Fri

 

Job Summary

The Estimating Assistant organizes and coordinates the purchasing of materials for subcontractors to build on lots in various Holt developments. This position processes purchase orders, updates vendor lists, and tracks accounting issues in Builder MT. This person facilitates the relationship between Holt and the vendors with integrity, courtesy, and character.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounting preferred
  • Experience in residential construction preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Experience with software Builder MT, Smartsheet, and Sales Simplicity preferred
  • Potential remote work after mandatory in-office training, decided by manager
  • Excellent math skills
  • Manage time and adhere to strict deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Maintain vendor packets and qualifications
  • Request pricing, load price changes in Builder MT software and maintain bids in “collected bid folders” in an organized, efficient method
  • Revise/update features lists and community standards
  • Update projects’ vendor lists
  • Price and distribute change orders
  • Coordinate all paperwork for vendors
  • Process purchase orders, change orders and notices to proceed in Builder MT and Sales Simplicity software.
  • Research invoice or purchase order issues as needed, resolve payment issues
  • Track new starts/ensure complete purchase orders’ releases prior to commencement of construction.
  • Manage and coordinate the process in maintaining Builder MT accounting issues related to contracts and/or trade partner qualifications
  • Work with Purchasing Manager on deadlines, completion of tasks and workload
  • Ensure adherence to department policies, procedures, and audit requirements
  • Other duties as needed or assigned

Work Environment

  • Regularly uses a computer with repeated movements to enter data, differentiate between colors, shades, and brightness, and read from a screen for extended periods of time
