THE ROLE

The Marketing and Customer Experience Team works to attract buyers to our homes and to make their process of purchasing feel easy and elevated. Presentation is highly important in appealing to today’s buyers. We are looking for a Graphic Designer/Content Creator that has an excellent eye for design and a fresh perspective on how we can show up differently as a homebuilder in our industry.

In this new role, you will be designing both brand creative and collateral materials. From our sales flyers to our digital media to our community wordmarks and on-site signage we are looking for a team member who brings visual excellence to Holt across multiple areas.

Reporting into the Brand Manager, you will use your design skills, insight on design trends, and creative taste to help us with daily design needs while helping us execute on our visual identity. We also hope to lean on this person for a helping hand on casual photography and copywriting.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Advertising and Digital Creative – Conceptualize and design emails, marketing banners, and display ads working closely with our digital media agency and Brand Manager to align on priorities, best practices, and creative direction. Creating web-ready images and assets. Creating print ads or out of home concepts per campaign needs.

Brand and Placemaking Collateral – Collaborating with the Brand Manager to help us drive our overarching company storytelling as well as placemaking across our communities through design materials. This includes wall collateral hanging in our sales offices and beautiful multipage community brochures with vicinity maps and other localized information points to engage prospective buyers. Occasional support on projects for The Holt Group (internal items for the disposition teams).

Sales/Product Informational Materials – Designing and upkeeping our informational collateral such as energy efficiency flyers, product related information, standard features, and popular upgrades sheets with the help of internal stakeholders. Continuously ideating around how to bring our sales/product points to life through design materials, printed and digital.

Physical Signage Upkeep – Updating and adjusting existing signage for each of our sites, working closely with the Marketing Operations Manager to build designs to correct spec according to city jurisdiction.

Content Support – Support the Brand Manager to create content for social media and blog efforts through custom infographics, templates, and experimenting with motion graphics. Assisting with casual photography/editing needs – opportunities depend on the candidate’s photography skill level but can include décor shots, closeups on design finish selections, behind the scenes content, and capturing content at employee events. Collaborating with the Brand Manager and Interior Designer on opportunities for storytelling around key floorplans, interior features, décor tips, and clever spaces.

Events/Experience Design – Support the team in event-related design needs such as invites, posters, or other visual pieces like branded trailer wraps and banners. Creating any additional collateral to enhance on-site interaction and engagement with our messaging. Supporting our preparation for participation in Street of Dreams July 2021.

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5+ years of design experience
  • Bachelors or master’s degree in Graphic Design, design-related field, or relevant experience
  • Great range across design formats (digital, print, etc.) with willingness to design to functional + spec-related needs in addition to creative storytelling through design
  • Excellent and demonstrated skill with typography and visual layouts (collateral, brochures, logos)
  • Ability to collaborate closely with brand direction and vision with an ability to bring fresh ideas and a unique point of view
  • Exceptional project management skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized, professional, thoughtful and detail oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite is essential (PowerPoint, Word, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, etc.).
  • Foundational photography and retouching skills
  • Copywriting abilities are a plus
