SUMMARY:  The Holt Group has a Private-Equity fee structure with institutional investors. The position is an ideal opportunity for an aspiring real estate professional to learn the business from a developer’s perspective and become familiar with acquisitions and investments in a private equity fund environment. This person will play an active role in identifying and analyzing real estate investment opportunities.

  • A passion for Real Estate
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
  • Strong and clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Degree in a field requiring quantitative reasoning and aptitude preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • A solid understanding of financial statements
  • Strong personal skills and excellent writing ability
  • Excellent communication, analytical, decision-making and follow-up skills

  • Building, maintaining, and updating accurate cashflow models of development projects in Excel
  • Responsibility for aggregating and vetting inputs and assumptions from various Holt departments to support business decisions and investor reporting
  • Supporting due diligence efforts and presenting return profiles of potential acquisitions to investment committee for decision.
  • Identifying and analyzing the major risks affecting an investment opportunity
  • Researching supply and demand forces in the market along with comparable sales in various submarkets
  • Participate in price negotiations in acquisitions and dispositions
